Remembrance Day
On Friday 9th November we held a Remembrance Day Parade. The children from Reception to Year 6 were led
by Members of the British Legion to the Memorial Garden. At the Memorial
Reverend Doctor Desmond Harvey held a service, he used to be a Chaplin in the
Royal Air Force. The children read poems
and sang songs they had learnt. As the British Legion standard was lowered the
last post was played by Llewellyn Davies , a year 10 pupil from Ysgol Llanhari who
kindly volunteered to play the trumpet. The children placed a wreath they had
made at the memorial before saying a final prayer. Local residents also attended and all were
invited back to school for a cup of tea and cake. More photos in 'The Gallery'
